There are few experiences in life as painful as the death of a loved one, and when a loved one is killed by the negligent or willful acts of another person, the pain can be even deeper.
Injuries caused by any type of motor vehicle accident can change your life – in an instant.
What started out as a fun-filled evening for four friends in San Bernardino, ended as a tragedy for them when a violent crash took their lives.
The women, ranging in age from 24 to 36, lived near to each other. One was the mother of three, while another left behind a 19-year old daughter.
California Highway Patrol reports indicate that the four women were speeding down a local street when the driver attempted to pass another car, lost control and crashed through a metal barrier – causing the vehicle to fall 20 feet down into a flood-control channel and burst into flames – killing all four women. The driver and one passenger were tossed from the car.
The street they were driving on is one lane in each direction and separated by a double-yellow line; it has a 40 mph posted speed limit.
California Highway Patrol investigators are trying to determine whether alcohol and/or drugs were involved in the fatal crash.
My thoughts and prayers are with the families of these four women after this tragic accident.
