On June 12, 2014 Big Lots recalled the Wilson and Fisher brand Cayman Resin Wicker Ottoman. About 14,000 units were recalled, including models will item number DA13-015-6S-2CO and SKU 810140754. The recalled units are part of a six-piece Cayman Resin Wicker set including two ottomans, two chairs, a table and a sofa. The item number can be located in the instructions included with the seating set. The ottomans were recalled because the center of the ottomans can collapse during normal use, which causes a fall hazard. Big Lots has heard 19 reports of consumers falling because of the default, including six reports of minor injuries like scratches bruises, and back strain. Consumers are encouraged to stop using the ottomans and return the items to any Big Lots store for a refund of $50. Consumers are allowed to keep remaining pieces of the set.

Cost Plus World Market and World Market stores have recalled about 251,400 of their glass bubble knob product. The glass bubble knobs, for use on drawers and cabinet doors, came in two sizes and six colors, including clear, blue, amethyst, pink, green, and smoke, and the glass knobs are attached to bronze hardware. The small knobs are about .75 inches and the large knobs are about 1.25 in inches. The knobs can break and expose glass shards, which poses a laceration risk to consumers. There have been five reports of broken knobs which caused five reports of hand and finger lacerations. Consumers are ured to cease using the glass knobs and return them to any World Market or Cost Plus World Market for a full refund.

Hitachi Koki has recalled about 25,000 of their Hitachi Koki Pneumatic Nailers in the United States. The recall affects to models of Hitachi Koki 3 ¼ inch strip pneumatic nailers with depth adjustment. The recall affects model number NR83A2(Y) which has serial numbers starting with QD2, QN2 QO2, Q13, Q23, Q33, Q43, Q52, Q53, Q62, Q72, Q82 and Q92, and model number NR83A3 which has serial numbers starting with QD3, QN3, QO3, Q14, Q24, Q34, Q63, Q73, Q83 and Q93. Serial numbers can be located on the end of the handle on the nailer. If the serial number has an “R” next to the model number and serial number, then the item is not affected by the recall. The pneumatic nailers can jam and override the safety switch that allows only one nail to fire at time, which causes a risk for injury. The nailers are sold at independent home improvement and building supply stores nationwide, and on online stores for Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, Grainger, and online store Amazon.com. No injuries have been reported yet. Consumers are urged to stop using the nailers immediately and contact Hitachi Koki U.S.A. for directions on returning the product for a repair, free of charge.
