The Wright County Egg company and the U. S. Food and Drug Administration have recalled shell eggs because of a possible health risk. They have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.
Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in your children, elderly people or others with weakened immune systems. Symptoms include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, fever and abdominal pain.
Eggs affected by this recall were distributed to food wholesalers and packaged under various brand names, such as Lucerne, Albertson, Mountain Dairy, Ralphs, etc. They are packaged in varying sizes of cartons with Julian dates ranging from 136 to 225 and plant numbers 1026, 1413, and 1946.
The company has received accounts of confirmed Salmonella illnesses relating to the shell eggs.
If you believe you have purchased these shell eggs, do not eat them. Return them to the store immediately for a full refund. If you or a family member has gotten sick after eating these eggs, please see your doctor and then contact an experienced San Bernardino personal injury attorney at the law offices of Welebir Law to determine your legal rights and options.
