Anaheim students late friday afternoon were victims of a serious school bus accident, leaving many injured. According to the CHP first responder Officer John Latosquin said the school bus crashed just before 3:40pm on Nohl Rancho Road near Walnut Canyon Road. The bus was from the Orange Unified School District and was carrying students from El Rancho Charter School in Anaheim.
The bus driver and two other students were sent to the hospital in critical conditions, and two others sustained minor injuries. There was a total of 11 students on the bus.
The bus was heading northbound on the right lane coming down hill when it lost control and crashed against a tree and then rested on another. The front end of the bus with the most damage, held the driver trapt, the firefighter had to cut through the wreckage to get him out. The bus wound up leaning against one of the trees almost on its side.
The details of this school bus accident are still unknown, the investigation is underway.
