According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, thousands of baby bath seats are being recalled due to a possible drowning hazard.
The defective product recall involves about 7,500 Thermo-baby Aqua-baby Bath Ring Seats. These seats come in pink or blue and are designed for children five months to 10 months old.
According to reports, there is a possibility that the bath seats can tip over – posing a risk of drowning. The bath seats fail to meet Federal safety standards, including the requirement for stability. However, no injuries have been reported.
The seats were sold at Amazon.com from June 2012 through January 2013 for $35.
If you own one of these seats, stop using them immediately and contact the manufacturer for a complete refund.
If your baby has been injured because of one of these seats, contact a San Bernardino personal injury attorney who has had success in product liability cases. Call the law offices of Welebir | Tierney to discuss your legal options and protect your rights and those of your baby.
